There's a product called Rain Guard or something similar (I think there are
more than one that do the same thing). It's a liquid that you apply to the
map with an applicator bruch and when it dries it makes the map water
repellent and less apt to tear. Mostly it's used by backpackers that don't
want to become vulture food by going down the wrong canyon, but I was
thinking it might make a fish collector's day a little better, too.
