I think I can sex them when I catch sexually mature largemouth bass by
angling. The females are much heavier in girth (frequently with a pot belly).
Almost all very large (bigger than 16 inch) largemouth bass appear to be
females, at least in the northern part of the country. The males are smaller,
more slender and more aggressive.
