Well, you can to some degree; the photo on the NANFA Conservation Research
Grant flyer is a Tangerine darter, albeit in black and white. It's not an
easy species to capture, since the typical habitat is semi-whitewater
flowing over boulders.
And Asiatic (_Corbicula_ spp.) clams don't get much bigger than about 50%
bigger than your thumbnail, so any mussel ~5" long is a native.
