NANFA-- Bigeye Chub bites the bullet

I noticed Friday evening that my bigeye chub was dead, meaning that it lived
at least four years. I caught it in October of 1999 while visiting Casper
in Chattanooga. I can't remember where we caught him, but I think it was
from Chickamauga Creek. I've still got a blackspotted topminnow from that
same trip and it was very large when I caught it, so I'm guessing it has to
be at least five years old. I'm not sure how if these are unusually long
living fish or not, but I'm surprised they've lived for so long. I've also
got a pair of Orangefin Darters from July of 1999 that are doing fine.

I'm curious to know how long lived other people's small native fish are.
