Shucks, we have pipefish in Louisiana
in the brackish waters. A couple of years ago while traveling down
Bayou Bouef going to Lake Catawatchee, I/We saw a large pipefish chase a
couple 12' gators out of the water (real mean sucker) he didn't pay any
attention to us as we passed.

He was a "big one", not the usual 2' or 3' normal size. Lots of things
come in large sizes here.....even tales. This however is true tale
...give or take lie or two. Ask
B G, he'll put you straight.

Stay well all,

Leo
