No problemo! Those guys are butt to the sky and din-din the first week. It's the guys hiding out in the leaf litter that make for interesting surprises.

If there are irregularities along the surface which frustrate a 100% mossie harvest, drop in a small top minnow for a day. Then fish it out for other duties.

I'm so glad (or lucky) to have never dragged in a barrel/trash can of a culture only to hit the jack pot with dragonfly larvae.

And while "But Mom, I'm only learning" is truly inspired, if the listener is "She Who Must Be Obeyed," it is well to remember that, "One good turn gets all of the covers." ;)
