NANFA-- Native fish in Potomac River Basin

Hello all,
A question for the list. Does anyone care to speculate (or know) what the
original fish population of the upper Potomac River would have looked like.
It seems to me that all of the large fish are introduced(smallmouth,
largemouth, channel catfish, walleye, carp). Would redhorse, redbreast
sunfish, fallfish, and rock bass have been much more abundant or would the
biomass have been made up of smaller fish. Does any historical data exist?

Thanks
