RE: NANFA-- puzzling blackfin darter

I just looked at page 277 of the Peterson Guide and there is a drawing of
the frecklebelly's dorsal fin and it's just like the one in my Roston photo.

I was also confused by that same common name being applied to different
species. Even the AFS slide catalog has a Percina sp. blackfin darter
listed. And the TN Dept of Environment and Conservation web page calls
Percina stictogaster the blackfin darter. This is very confusing to me.
