My Michigan killi's wintered at 60 F. start to spawn when the tanks reach 70
F. Late may early June. They are wintered without any special photo period.
F. notatus were easy dispar were hard, they didn't want to hatch maybe warmer
temps for the eggs. Both are easy to raise on newly hatched brine shrimp. I
don't know if you could speed things up by raising the temp. early. Did you
collect the dispar and if so where they are not very common here.
