Try *Freshwater Fishes of Southern Florida* by William F. Loftus and James
A. Kushlan (1987, Bulletin of the Florida State Museum, Biological Sciences,
Vol. 31, No. 4, 198 p., softcover). The distributions of 92 species are
recorded from south of the Tamiami Trail (U.S. Hwy. 41), including the
largely inaccessible Everglades marsh system. Although there are no
illustrations or keys to aid identification, the detailed collection site
descriptions may assist aquarists looking for particular fishes.
