NANFA-- seine net/dip net techniques

A couple evenings ago I went fish sampling with Bill Flowers. One of his
techniques is to use two aquarium nets about 10" wide and place one
downstream of a rock and use the end of the other net to lift the rock and
hopefully capture whatever comes out. Obviously done in shallow water with
plenty of daylight. We caught madtoms he theorizes a seine net normally
would have missed.

Since I have rarely sampled with others, I figure there are lots of other
netting techniques I have not figured out myself. I am hoping some of you
more experienced collectors would share your solo and group netting methods.
