Welp, today is the 30th anniversary of the Clean Water Act. With certainty,
it's somewhat melancholy as it suffered a serious weakening this year,
compliments of our nation's current executive administration... However, I
think that warrants as much activity on our part as possible.

I'd like to encourage as many people as possible to slip on the neoprene and
get out there and survey some fish this weekend. There were test kits
available... I think some people purchased them
(http://www.yearofcleanwater.org). It would be great to have some tests and
what I think is more important from NANFA... A catalog of the diversity that
we've witnessed would be something fantastic to compile, and possibly publish
somewhere mainstream.

Ohio NANFA is stepping up to the plate again tomorrow. We'll be surveying one
of Northern Ohio's most modified bodies of water, The Mighty Muddy Maumee.
The Cleveland Zoo folks will be joining Eric Massengil and me... I'd like to
extend this last minute notice to anyone who'd like to join us. We'll be
meeting at Eric's house in Perrysburg at 10:00 am and will survey a few spots
in the main channel, as well, hitting a very nice feeder creek down by Grand
Rapids. I should have posted this sooner, sorry if that disappoints anyone.

Please email me or call (419) 242-3696 ext 402 day or 419-539-6810 evening if
you'd like to come along. I will provide directions and what not. Nick and
Eric had other plans in the evening with Sweetest Day... But if people are
coming in from out of town, we can clean up at my place and then grab a bite
out if you'd like. :)
