I have been watching the list for a while and have gotten really interested in native fishes. I have made a few journeys out to Cecil County Maryland and out to the panhandle of West Virginia for the chance to see the more "exotic" looking endemics that can be found in North America.
I have a few creeks nearby my home town of Media, PA where I have found Blacknose Dace, Central Stonerollers and Tessalated Darters. I have kept a few of these fishes in my 10 gal freshwater unheated system and have had varying successes. At the moment I have one large crayfish that dominates the tank.
I am wondering if there are any people in the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley area that are involved with observing or capturing native fishes that I might be able to hook up with to do some trips to local areas to see what there is to find.
I look forward to hearing from you guys soon!
take care,
Rick
