What would be a good price for a used pump/filter?

You may be able to use it, but for living ponds, not swimming pools, it must
be used without the diatomaceous earth. That filters too much out and will get
clogged very quickly. Replace the powder with filter floss and it should
work. A good price depends on condition. If it is practically new, about half the
list price (remember there is no warranty).
