No reason why shape should matter since the reading is based entirely on
visibility.

Two more things:

I have been told that overnight shipping of the WWMD kits is available from
the ACWF AND that the local EPA offices have supplemental kits for kids
(magnifiers, picture guides to indicator invertebrates).
