Klaus,

That's good practice to throw it back-handed out into the yard before you
actually put it in the water! Remember to wet the neeting first, that's so
it'll have some weight and balance when it's tossed. Then give the hand-line
a quick yank to orientate the net towards you.....

If your particular sampling area is of a muddy bottom, then don't hesitate
at all.......quickly pull it in. A sand-gravel substrate with deeper areas
is what I designed it for...... However, if there are shallow, muddy areas
that you might want to try, then get some of that pipe-insulation and
tie-wrap it around the metal hoop to keep it afloat.

Now, go scoop some minnows!
