Hello All,

There was a man living on the Oregon coast who used to make and sell shoes
for walking on exposed mud flats. They were similar to snow shows, yet had
a hinged heel. Clam digging is so popular in Oregon, that he sold many
pairs. I don't know more than that though. This was back in the 1980's.

Dear All,

Can anyone tell me where I can get a hold of some shoes (like
snowshoes...ie High sirface area) that would enable myself to more
efficiently traverse mudflats? Or do snow shoes work?

Thanks

Mark,
We've found "Mudeers" to absolutely be the only means to work on
extremely liquified mud. You can obtain them through the Ben Meadows
Company (item #252574, $109 US); see www.benmeadows.com.
