Thanks, Steven, your account flows better than mine (written 10 minutes
before doing a lecture...). All I would add is that when I got home and
looked at the large adult F. stellifer, one of them has a severe spinal
deformity. The fish's body is S-shaped just above the anal fin, something
I've never seen in an adult Fundulus of any species. Other than that it
seems perfectly happy and functional.
