hey mark...
i began interest in mushrooms back when i was looking for the mind altering
kind. i began to be fascinated by the shapes and variety i was finding.
several years later a fella put a notice in a issue of the local sierra club
newsletter. i went on a hike w/ him and we have become good friends. ( he has
the cabin that pat and i stayed in ).
it is very important to have someone along w/ knowledge. it is very hard to
acquire it on ones own. now i know about a dozen edibles w/o any possibility of
being wrong. for me it is just another way and reason to enjoy getting out in
nature.

i didnt try to catch any swanoas... they were very easy to id that evening.
they did not seem "jumpy". i imagine i could have caught one easily enough. i
did not catch anything that trip.

today i may head out for awhile...

one more month left of easy snorkling and then the water starts to chill!
