I read the first part that legal statement.
I can't help wondering:
Since they are asking that the swans not be killed on the grounds that it
would cause aesthetic harm and emotional pain to the people who like the
swans, why the heck couldn't we use this exact same argument whenever the
govt tries to log a forest or build a highway through a natural area??
