I was wanting to get some welaka while down in FL back in Feb and found that
they were protected there, even though they are only listed as "of Special
Concern". We didn't find them anyway.

I have managed to get some from another source, as well as some hubbsi, and
my thoughts are the welaka are WAY better looking. The fieryblack shiner is
a close second IMO. Rainbow shiners are nice too, but a male fieryblack in
full breeding coloration is a sight to see.

Again, this is just my opinion.
