OK, I found out why they hadn't heard of NANFA. The hotel has only one
person on site to take reservations. When that person is taking a
reservation and another customer is in cue, additional people requesting
reservations are automatically transferred to a central reservations office
that handles all Holiday Inns. They don't know about the NANFA convention
or the special rate. When you call the hotel phone number you need to tell
the person that answers the phone that you want to speak with the local
reservationist. Otherwise you may be transferred to the central office.

The hotel has the event listed under North American Native Fish Association,
not NANFA. The lady told me she had only taken a few reservations for the
event and hadn't assimilated the acronym yet.
