Moon, a substantial body of data agree with you, that freezing
euthanasia is without pain for poikilothermic vertebrates, and I've
routinely used it WHEN I WAS ALLOWED TO. However, three different
times, Animal Care and Use Committees have denied it, and required me
to use chemical euthanasia. Go figure. Dave
