I love people like that, they make me look normal. I have less than two
dozen aquariums. If you refer to them by dozens, it makes the number seem
smaller.

Years ago, I was-in-a running club meeting and the guest speaker announced
that anyone that was running on the Arkansas Rivertrails on X day were
welcome to run with his group and afterwards attend his and his girlfriends
wedding. The next month I was-in-the Arkansas Traveller 100, a 100 mile race
near Little Rock, AR and the pre-race briefing included a wedding. The next
day in the race I was running with the bride and I mentioned the other
wedding and hers and said how great it was because people like you make me
seem normal. I apoligized the next day after the race and she asked what
for?

Well, the first tip is, when you win a 55 gallon tank in a raffle, be
prepared to answer the question, "Now where are you going to put that?"

It also helps to surround yourself with fish head friends who are even less
moderate than you are. When she brought our family van to the cichlid club
auction to pick up the 55 gallon, my sweet wife made the mistake of asking a
fellow club member, "Do you know how many aquariums we already have?"

My friend didn't miss a beat and said, "I've got 42."

I only have 12.

You know, that would make a good AC article. "Pursuing a Fish Head Hobby
Without Angering Your Spouse" Possibly a compilation of list member's
experiences? I would be glad to do the compilation...
