Fishes of the Great Lakes Region by Carl Hubbs and Karl Lagler was one of the earlist regional North American fish books, published back in the 1940's. The revised edition by Gerald Smith is now available. I just got mine yeaterday. A great book for those interested in this area and a very low cost for this type of book. If you came to the Ann Arbor convention you remember Jerry Smith he was one of the people that made that convention possible. He also gave a great talk on the zoogeography of the Great Lakes.
