I don't know how one could tell if fish "perceive" colors as we do, but
they darn sure perceive color in some fashion.

If not - many species of darters, reef fish, and fishing lure manufacturers
are going to a lot of trouble for nothing!

Isn't it a bit presumptuous to assume that fish perceive color the same
as we? Maybe they just eat the gravel because they are retarded ;)

Actually, many fish can perceive color similar to humans ....the
mudminnows in my tank have no trouble picking out red blood worms from the
gravel...if the Hikari sinking carnivore pellets were red...do I think the
fish would find them easier...absolutely
