Botia loaches will keep them in check, but if you have gravel they will
never be completely eradicated. We had a tank full of Botia sidthimunki.
Shortly after removing the 15-20 of them in a 55 gal tank small snails
quickly reappeared. Actually, found a nice site while checking that
spelling, http://www.loaches.com/ that is well worth a browse. Loaches
always were one my favourite fishes, but you have to be patient and
observant to pick up different species in pet stores.
