Hello. I'm finally back on the listserve here.

I had a great time-in-the Arkansas NANFA convention. Every time I come to
one of these I turn into a wide-eyed kid on each field trip.

I worked my way back home last week through northern Arkansas and Missouri
and finally back home to North Dakota. The Buffalo River was a great time
on Sunday. Thanks Dave Neely for showing me how to find and catch checkered
madtoms. Mark and Susan, I hope you made it to Tennessee before it got to
be too late.

In Missouri, water levels in were a high and the visibility wasn't that
great in most spots.

I stopped-in-Gavin's Point Dam on the Missouri River just west of Yankton,
South Dakota and saw four dead paddlefish there. There was also a dead
freshwater drum and I one of those weird carp species that has the large
mouth and the eye way down low on the head (grass or bighead I'm thinking).

It seems like each convention gets to be too short, never enough time to hit
all of the spots and talk to all of the people.
