Bob,
=20
Actually, I made everything as easy as possible. All the person had to =
do was go downstairs, get in the freezer, pull out a baggie with the =
frozen food in it, thaw it, and dump it in. I made each system it's own =
bag (upstairs and downstairs), and individually bagged each feeding. I =
don't know what happened... I wasn't going to ask. I'll just have =
someone else do it next time. =20
=20
But... What made this all really suck was that our lab is an =
unhospitable environment for both fish AND humans. I didn't go to =
higher learning to sweat-in-my job, if you know what I mean ;)

Oh, my...that's terrible. Unfortunately, I've had a few similar =
experiences
when off on extended trips. For the past couple of years, though, I've=20
depended on a young couple in the area to stop by every few days to=20
check my tanks. I post an instruction sheet on the refrigerator for
reference.
=20
I put a small container of food on the cover of each aquarium to avoid=20
inadvertent problems. Basically, I've trained them a) not to over-feed,=20
and b) to look very carefully for any fishes that might have died, of =
old
age for the most part, so the water doesn't get fouled.
