That would depend on how hot the weather averaged in your area, in the North
east it's always cool if not down right cold underground. Here where I live
the water comes out of the ground-in-well above 70 degrees. Running plastic pipe
underground is a well known way to use geothermal energy, it's just more
efficient for cooling up north than it is down south.
