Yes, Why? I don't know. It does do a good job of reducing color and taking
out any particles. When it gets dark and ugly looking I replace it. That takes a
few months. The tannins probably would be beneficial but I add peat to most
annuals anyway. I hope to take out air borne and roof shingle pollutants like
diesel fumes, oil burner residues, metals, etc.
