Personally,
I've never kept Hybognathis (Just look too "dumb" for my taste), but
have tried Macrhybopsis (aestavalis) on several occasions, with now
luck. They appear to be incredably sensitive to oxygen depravation.
Most have died in my holding tanks on the way home. The few I have
managed to get to my tanks, just don't do well. I have two jet pumps
really pushing flow in my "friendly" tank, but just still doesn't appear
to be enough. Also they are jumpers, I usually find them on the floor,
within days on bringing them home. And I only have a small opening for
the filter. On a side note, they will take to frozen bloodworms
quickly. For what it's worth, I would recommend a different spp. if
you are interested in this group

WOW!
All that information about these fish in this upcoming NANFA
Encyclopedia? That's amazing. I can only guess how much info has been
compiled for better-known species.

Can you tell us any more about this encyclopedia? Who is
compiling/editing it? When will it be ready for release? Any ideas about
it's final projected size and cost?
