Straight up. There's no expectation for any email list member to be a NANFA
member, nor is there any expectation for any email list member to agree with
NANFA positions. Heck there's no expectation that any NANFA member agree
with every NANFA position!
> Sure, our position on captive release is published various places
I need to make this more readily available on the website (Christmas break!
:), perhaps even make the point/counter point as a Q&A, so in the future
when someone posts concerning this topic and people feel led to <ahem>
"enlighten", a link can be posted, that's that, because...
> this comes up again and again on this list, with hurt feelings as the
usual result.
And usually so, because someone stated their _opinion_ on the matter after a
post, the original poster doesn't notice/find the argument obliging/care...
The second poster rephrases everything because in their mind, "this is a
simple thing, you should agree if I say it correctly" , and offends the
original poster because they've reposted the argument so "it can penetrate
your feeble mind" as they take it.
I'm not saying this is what is meant, what is actually written, or if
there's even any real responsibilty or expectation from either party. It
just seems to be what happens.
And I like that Martin has even taken it to this degree:
> It is not necessary to tell them multiple times that they are doing
something ILLEGAL either.
So can this be the part where John Cleese says....
"And now for something completely different."
Pretty please? :)
