I guess that's the tough part of meeting NANFA folks. You meet all these
awesome people who you'd probably become great friends with if you lived
closer. It makes it seem so sudden when something in their life changes
enough to make it out on the newswire.

Subject: NANFA-L-- In Memoriam: Ron Humbert
FYI: NANFA member Ron Humbert of Lombard, IL passed away on Sunday,
November 13, 2005. He was suffering from pancreatic cancer.
Some of you may remember him from the Arkansas convention.
He continued to be active in NANFA, Chicago Herpetological Society and
his teaching activities-in-Morton Arboretum and the local school, as
his health permitted. He had helped out with the NANFA table-in-Spring
Brook Nature Center in June, 2005. He was quite active with the IL-IN
chapter and organized several collecting trips in the area over the
past several years.
A wake will be held on Wednesday and Thursday (Nov 16-17, 2005)-in-the
Brust Funeral Home in Lombard.
