Two new books by Jerry Smith of University of Michigan, he was one of the
hosts and speakers at the Ann Arbor convention. "An Atlas of Michigan
Fishes" by Bailey, Latta and Smith. Its number 192 in the U of M series
"Miscellaneous Publications of the Museum of Zoology of the U of Michigan."
It is full of detailed distribution maps and each species is illustrated in
black and white. You can order it off their webpage:
http://www.ummz.lsa.umich.edu/pubs.html The revised "Fishes of the Great
Lakes Region" by Hubbs, Lagler and Smith. You can find it on Amazon.com
make sure you put Smith as the author or the old book may come up. This
book also has illustrations by Emily Damstra how spoke at the Ann Arbor
