I agree with Casper below, except that I've always liked pumpkinseeds
without qualification as survivors who are well adapted to living in areas
that were recently glaciated. I found the most amazing huge male rainbow
darter this past summer in north 'bama in my secret spring pool that's also
full of flame chubs, seeing that guy iced my vote for rainbow darters.
