Hi all,

For those who have expressed an interest in another fish camp in MS, here is
your chance! As promised, I will be exploring the Leaf R./Pasgagoula R. system.
This includes Tallahalla Cr., Bogue Homa, Thompson Cr., Gaines Cr., and the
Chickasawhay River. There is a possibility we can camp on the Black Creek
National Wild and Scenic River, in DeSoto National Forest. There are other
campgrounds nearby, including a nice one in Forest, MS, which is not as close to
our target zone but is not a bad drive. I've only made two day trips to this
area. The more interesting finds were clouds of grass shrimp, LOTS of speckled
darters (which are actually banded - vey nice), and a hogchoker. There are
supposed to be bluenose shiners too, but I have not found them yet. MAYBE THIS
COULD BE THE TRIP? Anyway, I need to know ASAP if anybody is interested in
coming along, and your preference of campground (i.e. a state park, with
showers, etc., or would you rather just try to find a nice flat place along the
river?).

In any case, I need to know at once, if not sooner, what your level of interest
is, and your campsite preference.

Dogs need to sniff the ground; it's how they keep abreast of current events. The
ground is a giant dog newspaper, containing all kinds of late-breaking dog news
items, which, if they are especially urgent, are often continued in the next
yard. - Dave Barry
