NANFA-- Little Green Balls?

My daphnia culture has turned into a little green ball culture? The Daphnia
magna has declined drastically and has been replaced by millions of little
green balls. The balls are about one half or less the size of a newly hatched
brine shrimp. They are motile, bright green, and swim in a cloud in non
aerated water. The daphnia don't seem to be eating them. Does anyone have any
idea what they are? Volvox come to mind but I was under the impression they
were bigger than that. I have so many I was thinking of using them to feed
something else. Maybe fairy shrimp? Any suggestions as to what they are and
how I could make use of them is appreciated.
