To all of you interested in the GA collecting trip on 4/28, here's how to
get a decent look at the area. Go to http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py

In the destination box, type in Louvale Station, GA...then click on GET
MAP. If you want driving directions, there is also a place to do that.
Although their directions are always excellent, I always find my driving
time to be considerably less than what they list. (-:

The site is on Highway 39, just west of Highway 27 at the 1st bridge over
Colochee Creek. This is a remote location, folks (no Wendy's for miles), so
it would be a good idea to bring your lunch. Considering everyone's driving
distance, noon seems like a good time to meet, although I'll probably be
there earlier than that. If it hasn't been raining, this stream is suitable
for snorkeling. The bottom is mostly sandy but there are some muddy places.
Overhanging vegetation & stumps abound providing cover for pickerel, shadow
bass, etc. I have also dipnetted topminnows along the banks.

If you have trouble geeting the map, contact me off-list and I'll try to
shoot you one. Even though it's a TN Valley regional trip, everyone is
welcome. However, I must warn those of you who "ain't from here"...Georgia
is so beautiful in the springtime, you may not want to go home!
