Dugongs are Australian sea going mammals and devourer of seaweeds. They have
been inadvertently killed by getting snarled in fishing nets. Preservation
efforts have included limiting some net systems. Florida's manatees
immediately come to mind. At least manatees don't have to coexist with salt
water crocs.
