Lauren,

Bob Bock is the regional rep for Maryland. He is well informed on all laws
and regs for the state, plus Maryland has the good fortune many of great
NANFA members like Chris Scharpf, Henry Deford and many more. Best of all,
the state is adjacent to Virginia, where the incomparable Mike Thennet
(regional rep for the Commonwealth) resides. :)

For those interested in learning about and collecting native fish in the
Potomac Basin, there's a mailing list devoted to this very topic. Members
arrange collecting trips, and talk about stuff related to the local fish
fauna. The Potomac Aquaria (or DC Natives) mailing list (can't decide what
to call it) website is at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PotomacAquaria . If
interested, you can subscribe from that page, or send a blank email message
to PotomacAquaria-subscribe_at_yahoogroups.com.
