I've caught some really big oyster toadfish but I have never eaten one. I
generally don't eat anything that is uglier than me. The toad fish just
misses the frying pan on that count. I've had a couple of female toad fish
come after me when I disturbed their nest while scuba diving, fearless fish!
They make good aquarium fish, I catch small ones in the summer. They make
good fish for a native marine aquarium. Small ones are bright orange, very
nice for an ugly fish. but as I have said before I like ugly fish.
