I thought it was neat to be adopted by a pair of ducks until I saw what they
did to my pond. They turn it into a thick green soup that your fish can't
stand. Unless you change the water frequently the smell will soon
over-power you. I have found that the aluminized mylar strips sold at
garden supply stores (bird tape) will discourage them from your pond.
