I've had pretty good luck with mine. Caught fieryblack and yellowfin
shiners pretty easily.

Naw, we just have nothing further to add.
I tried my shiner scoop today for the first time, while doing the Earth week

Stream survey. I caught nothing. I was able to catch one small rock bass
with
a dip net. I saw some small minnows but wasn't able to catch them. What is
the
technique for tossing and pulling the scoop? I tossed it downstream and
pulled it back to me fairly quickly. I also tossed it cross the current and
let it
swing down before pulling it back. None of these caught anything except
pebbles.
