>>>Does anyone know if Dionda nubila (ozark minnow) is a past synonym of
Notropis nubilus? Thanks

It is. Older references (Freshwater Fishes of Louisiana, Fishes of
Oklahoma) list it as Dionda. Newer references (Fishes of Arkansas, Fishes of
Missouri) as Notropis. It was reassigned to Notropis (subgenus Hydrophlox)
by famed minnow maven Camm Swift in 1970. Spawning habits and gut
morphology make it more similar to the former than the latter.
