No need....just pull yourself along. Do wear old shoes to keep from cutting
your feet. Usually works best to snorkel from downstream, up. Especially if
it's a silty stream. Do take the time to turn around once in a while. If
you're snorkeling along wondering where all the minnows are, you'll see them
when you look behind you!
