<< I'm going to try snorkeling this Sat. on the Michigan collecting trip. I
found my mask, snorkel and fins in my basement where I put them 20 years
ago.
They are still in good shape! Do you use fins? any advice?

No need....just pull yourself along. Do wear old shoes to keep from cutting
your feet. Usually works best to snorkel from downstream, up. Especially if
it's a silty stream. Do take the time to turn around once in a while. If
you're snorkeling along wondering where all the minnows are, you'll see them
when you look behind you!
