My experience with sailfin mollies on the Gulf Coast of Alabama (Dauphin
Island) has been that they're found in ditches along the edges of salt
marshes. Shallow water of variable flow and salinity seems to be fine with
them. Rainwaters seem to like somewhat deeper waters, but that's not a hard
rule.
