What do you mean "escape"? What are you keeping them in? In an aquarium a
couple inches of freeboard should be enough to keep them in. Blue crabs are
swimming crabs and seldom leave the water on their own. They can get around
on land but are clumsy and usually go back to water as quickly as they can.
