Thanks for the update Nick, if it was an aquarium release you might want to
check out tropical sharks but like you I'm betting it was an overland swim
from the East coast. Of course I guess it is possible for it to have swam
from the ocean but the number of species that are capable of doing that must
be limited. Bull sharks are the only ones that came to mind at first but the
dusky shark (Carcharhinus obscurus) looks like a close match especially the
head and tail fin. Better yet the dusky is known to penetrate freshwater and
it occurs as far north as George's Bank. Check out the dusky, you might be
looking at a legitimate penetration into Lake Erie by a shark. Wild thought
for sure dude!
