Wally... That sounds great! I am really glad to see you support that local
store. I operated one for 5 years along with the maintenance service, which
I started in 1992. I guess I am a bit partial! HA! I am "retired" from
both!

It seems like what you are making requires a more customized situation
anyway. I know Perfecto makes a nice stand for a 220, and seeing that it
is constructed of pine, it can be a bit pricy at that range. I wouldn't want
to see you pay a lot for what may be relativly inexpensive. I last had
purchased o a Perfecto 220 stand a few years back and it was a bit less.
Believe it or not.. the stands almost cost as much wholesale as we would
sell them retail. Mark-ups on tanks and stands are really not that much.

I always like working on the "little aesthetic details" of the native
aquarium display... What may look really cool on your stand, as far as
aesthetics, would be some old barnwood siding. This really compliments a
native fish aquarium display. You can tack it on the outside structure as
is, just for a rugged look.

Farms, with old collapsing barns, are the placce to look! Sometimes the
owner will gladly let you take a few boards from the heap! It looks really
cool whan finished. You just have to make sure it's dried out and free of
termites! I made that "Water-Shed" display out of old barnwood. It was set
up at NANFA 2001... Good luck with your display, as it sounds really
interesting! Post some photos for us when finished... :-)
